Sebastian – 6 months
Little Sebastian is now 6 months old. He’s changed so much since he was born!
His smile is so sweet and loving. He’s just a charmer. I love being able to go back and follow up with clients and see how they change. I’m so very thrilled to be able to follow him from his mom’s maternity pictures and beyond!
I can’t wait to see him again!
Amber – Minneapolis Model
I know I’ve said it before but I love working with models. I love having the chance to work on new things and experiment. Things tend to get a little slow during the winter so it’s a perfect time to try things out!
I met up with Amber in Minneapolis for a little session to add some new material to her portfolio and have a little fun!
Ian – one year old portraits
Look who’s already one! It’s so crazy that you can still see the squishy little newborn he was in the sweet little boy he’s become. Look at all that blonde fuzz!
For his first birthday his parents got just a TON of balloons and he LOVED them. We used some balloons for the pictures too and they were a big hit.
Happy bithrday little boy!
Help Portrait Minneapolis – 2011
There is a movement started by Jeremy Cowart called Help Portrait. Help Portrait is a global movement where photographers help to give back to the community by providing portraits to those in need.
The Minneapolis Metro Help Squad provided portraits at two locations this year and I was very glad I was able to participate. It’s always such a moving experience to help others and this was a very unique experience.
I look forward to participating again next year.
Gretta and Hans – Engagement in Shoreview
It’s winter in Minnesota! That doesn’t slow us down very much though. These two weren’t too sure about pictures in general and were apprehensive about going outside too. Once we were all comfortable though, it was great! They were so very sweet and so very in love. It was really wonderful to be around. Oh, and also deeply in love with their dog Gigi!
They were very classic and old school kind of people so I made a lot of the images into black and whites. They were also kind of artsy and had a lot of interesting bird feeders so I used some of that. One of our favorite images is the one where you can’t even see their faces!
He had also joked with me for some time about Photoshopping in some monkeys into their pictures to spice them up. Well, I certainly couldn’t let that one go…
New client gallaries!
After some adjustments, client galleries have a new home! The shift should be seamless for clients though. I think the new set up will make things a lot easier for everyone and I hope you all like it! Any questions, concerns or feedback are welcome!
Simply go to the top of the page, click on the “clients” tab, then find your gallery. Galleries are organized by date in reverse chronological order. So if your event was recently, it should be towards the top. Once your gallery is released to you, I will provide you with your password. I keep passwords simple for ease of sharing with your family and friends and a password hint is also provided!
I’m very excited for this new addition to our services!
Melissa and Jason – St. Paul wedding
What a lovely winter wedding! Melissa and Jason were so much fun and so very sweet. It’s always fun doing a winter wedding though, really! I was so thrilled to be a part of their wedding and the James J Hill library is such a fun location to work in.
We were all concerned whether they would make it to the reception in that car though. I think it stalled four times before they left!
Thank you for having me!
Sarah and Dan – Eden Prairie portraits
Ian – 9 months
Little Ian almost didn’t come in for his 9 month old portraits. He and his sister were in a tussle and he was accidentally bonked on the face. 🙁 Poor little guy!
I encouraged them to still have the pictures done and we could either retouch it out or use it! After some brain storming I suggested a boxing themed shoot. It was just too perfect! I love doing themed shoots and they can be especially fun with children.
He wasn’t so sure about the tape but he was a good sport about the whole thing!
Sebastian – 1 month old infant portraits
Not long after our maternity portrait session, little Sebastian decided he was in a big hurry to be born. It was a scary time while he was in the NICU and his parents were thrilled once they were able to bring him home. He’s clearly already stolen their hearts and everyone is much happier now that they’re all together.
