Pet Portraits in Minneapolis
Pets are part of the family too! I’m always happy to include a family pet into the portrait session. Sometimes portraits of just the pets are needed too! These two are rescue pets and they are clearly in love with their new home. Jax is a Staffordshire Terrier and Merlin is an Australian Shepherd.
C and M – Minnesota Engagement
C has modeled for me before and when she got engaged, she asked me immediately to photograph her wedding. Of course I said yes! She’s always so much fun to work with and I love how much their love for each other shows. We had originally planned to do some portraits in the studio but it was such a gorgeous day that we took it to the trails! I’m pretty sure they were giggling the whole time. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this summer!
Summer storms!
As some of you may know, I have been hosting my own website for the past few years. Unfortunately, the recent summer storms here in Minnesota took out my web server. While I obviously take many precautions with my equipment, there was still an accident. This is of course why I keep everything isolated!
The website was down entirely for almost a week as we frantically tried to recover data and assess the damage. All the safeguards on the ftp data and the storage worked perfectly. The only thing that was really affected was the website itself.
I had been using a program to automatically back up the website and I’ve been so very busy with weddings this year that I hadn’t checked the integrity of that in some time! That means that unfortunately, it wasn’t working properly and here we are with a very, very old version of the website from a YEAR ago. Ack!
All client galleries were already remote hosted for safety and your convenience so they are entirely unaffected. Client gallerias can still be accessed directly on my smugmug page.
I have time set aside for later in the week where I will be devoting to rebuilding the site.

Ian – Newborn Portraits
Ian was born at Regions Hospital in St. Paul MN at 8lbs 8oz. I was privileged to take his newborn portraits in the hospital when he was only one day old. He was so sweet and easy to work with. Best of all he had the greatest newborn baby cheeks! His older siblings are thrilled with the new addition. Congratulations!
Astrid – 18 month old
I met up with Astrid in Rosedale Minnesota for a quick portrait session. She was kind enough to model this adorable cloche hat made by NYCrochet. The weather turned bad on us and even started raining! She didn’t seem to mind at all and had a lot of fun with the umbrellas. Thank you for working with me! And thank you to NYCrochet for the fantastic hat!
Olivia – 18 months
Olivia is one of those little girls with an easy smile and is always up for a hug. We spent some time getting used to the camera so she would be more comfortable. Once she was ready, we had a fantastic time! There’s something really special about the genuine glee on a child’s face. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to work with her. It was a lot of fun and a great location!
Sophia Portraits
Sophia is just the happiest little girl and I had a great time working with her! Her parents made my job so easy as they were singing her songs and enthusiastic about the whole process. The happiness and joy in their family was obvious and infectious.
