Winter wedding in southern MN blizzard
This winter wedding in southern MN carried on despite the severe blizzard. The snow was beautiful and the couple was thrilled to brave the weather for some stunning winter portraits. I do a few winter weddings every year and they are always just beautiful. I hope you
Brunch wedding with unicorns
This was one of my most anticipated weddings of the year. Who wouldn’t be thrilled for a unicorn themed brunch wedding?!
It was a cold October morning but we braved the temperatures and had an absolutely amazing time. The venue was gorgeous and inviting with stunning fall colors and beautiful light. Lindsey made an assortment of adorable signs to direct traffic of her guests and promote her wedding’s hashtag. Everything was so well thought out, the entire event flowed smoothly and everyone had a marvelous time.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was that the couple asked their grandmothers to be their flower girls! The women were thrilled and watching their glowing faces come down the isle was an absolute delight. They also asked a grandfather to be the ring bearer. It was a really fun choice and one I’d love to see again! The couple also chose to have a first look with not only each other, but with the bride’s father and grandfather, as well as the groom with his mother. They were some really fun little moments!
During their ceremony, they invited two family members up to celebrate their birthdays which fell on the same day. It’s always nice when everyone feels welcome and included in a wedding. They had readings from The Last Unicorn and The Little Yellow Leaf. The leaf theme tied in to a family name as was a lot of fun for us to work in to the portraits!
Because of the brunch time frame, the couple had an omelet station along with their extravagant buffet. In lieu of cake, they had various doughnuts and rolls.

Lake Minnetonka rehearsal dinner
Lindsey and Chris chose Lake Minnetonka for their rehearsal dinner the night before their wedding. It was great to meet everyone before the event so we could get to know each other. The lake was beautiful and I couldn’t help but take a few pictures of the sun setting on the water. After the dinner, we all felt
Minneapolis newborn photographer – N
I absolutely love photographing children. They change so quickly and it’s a real privilege to be able to document everything. It’s all so captivating from their amazing expressions to their tiny little toes.
I photographed C and J’s wedding a few years ago. I was so happy to hear their son had arrived! He was such a sweetheart and gave us lots of smiles during our time together. The best part was seeing the love and devotion from his parents. As a parent myself, I know that feeling well. Little N is truly blessed to have such wonderful parents.
I hope you enjoy some of the images from our session!

Laura and Adam – Minneapolis rock and roll wedding
This was easily one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever photographed. Laura and Adam were an absolute delight to work with. They are some of the most kind, genuine and lovely people I’ve ever met. It helped to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere to the entire event.
Laura wore the same wedding dress other members of her family wore. It’s such a sweet thing when people do that! We went to Thomas Lowry Park for portraits and intended to hold their ceremony there. Just as we were finishing up portraits, it started to rain. We waited for a while in hopes it would pass but it was there to stay.
We moved to the reception site and continued! The Four Seasons Dance Studio is a really fun space. They were great about making the quick change to accommodate the ceremony and the string quartet. The ceremony was lovely and included passing around the rings on a pillow so the guests could have a moment to send them good wishes.
Laura and Adam are musicians and after their amazing first dance, they joined the band and played some songs! This was a first for me and it was absolutely fantastic! For months after, I found myself smiling and humming along to the great classic songs they performed. Even now, just looking at the pictures, brings the music back.
I loved everything about this wedding and feel absolutely privileged to work with them. Thank you so much Laura and Adam for letting me be a part of your rock and roll wedding!
Lady Ursula – musician portraits
In addition to my work on weddings and families, I really enjoy doing creative portraits and art projects. A friend of mine is a musician who performs with the Alein’ Whalers at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival as Lady Ursula. They’re great musicians and a lot of fun! I absolutely recommend checking them out when Fest starts up later this summer. Musician portraits are a lot of fun to do!
Centennial Lakes Engagement
I truly enjoyed this wondrously colorful engagement session at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina. This couple were so enthusiastic and exuberant they were a delight to work with. They had a lot of great ideas and were excited to try all my ideas.
Centennial Lakes engagement sessions are some of my favorites. There are so many great location options and different things to work with.
Thank you M and M for being such a great couple to work with!
Studio engagement session
We had grand plans for a wonderful outdoor engagement session but the weather simply would not play along! The rain was quite persistent so we decided to relocate to the studio. Their little girl was adorable and a delight to work with. The rain let up a bit towards the end of the session and we went out with our umbrellas for a while too!
Having a studio engagement session doesn’t happen very often so it’s always a nice change of pace when it does.
It was great working with this family and I’m so excited for their wedding!
