D and M – Minneapolis Engagement Photography
I absolutely love doing engagement photography. It’s such a great opportunity to meet with my clients and work together before the wedding. It helps me get to know the couples and gives them a chance to know me. Once it’s time for the wedding, we are comfortable with each other and couples are confident their pictures will be as gorgeous as they’d hoped!
I met with D and M near the Stone Arch Bridge in the St. Anthony main area of Minneapolis for their engagement photos. It was a gorgeous, sun drenched winter day just before my birthday! They were such an amazing couple and I loved working with them. They were so warm, open and loving. I can’t wait for their wedding this summer!
Minneapolis Photography Studio
It’s been a long time coming but I am THRILLED to announce that Umbrella Studios has secured studio space! I am so crazy excited to see clients now at my Minneapolis photography studio. It’s centrally located off 35W and 494 with easy access. I’ve shot a few sessions there already and I’m absolutely in love. My last space was much smaller so this is a great upgrade.

Cassi and Alex – St. Paul Engagement
It was a beautiful day for a St. Paul engagement! The sun was shining and everything was so green. I love doing engagement portraits and this is one of my favorite locations.
I was fortunate enough to photograph Cassi and Alex’s engagement pictures at Hidden Falls Park in St. Paul. They were so very sweet and a little nervous. Once they got comfortable, they just blossomed! I loved working with them and can’t wait to see them again.

E and P’s Minneapolis wedding
E and P were married this summer at the First Universalist Church in Minneapolis. They were such fun, rather geeky people and I had a blast getting to know everyone. They were up for anything which always makes wedding photography exciting! The reception was held at the University of Minnesota Campus Club. Nevia 3 months
I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of R and A early last year. The lovely bride wore a beautiful purple dress as she sported her baby bump! A few months later their daughter arrived a little earlier than expected. She is absolutely lovely! I just adore her beautiful eyes and her dark hair. I could have spent hours just playing with her! Anyway. Please enjoy these pictures of the wonderful Miss Nevia! These are her three month old portraits and I can’t wait to see her again!
Wayzata Wedding Photography
This  was a whirlwind of a wedding and was absolutely stunning from start to finish. Justine and Kory were married at Noerenberg Gardens in Wayzata, MN. There were beautiful flowers and a scenic view of the lakes. The reception in Shakopee, MN was at the Stonebrook Golf Course. Everyone was so happy and sweet. It was a great event and we all got a bit misty eyed when the bride’s sister broke down in tears during her speech. Congratulations on your wedding! I really enjoyed working with all of you.

Big changes have happened over here and I am thrilled to announce that I have expanded my photography services into a new identity! I will now be serving your needs under my new name of Umbrella Studios.
The biggest changes you may notice is the change in the urls to your gallery. Everything is still there! You can navigate to them through the system if your direct links aren’t working.

Shoreview Wedding Photography
I photographed this wedding at North Oaks Golf Club in Shoreview, MN. This is such a great location and we had a truly beautiful day to work with.
I had an amazing time working with this couple. They were so laid back and comfortable. They also had some fantastic bright colors in their flowers and cake. It was really joyful.

Help Portrait 2013
Every year I participate in our local Help Portrait event. This year I volunteered at the Ain Dah Yung location. This is such a meaningful event and I look forward to it every year.
With Help Portrait, we provide professional portraits and on site printing. We also bring in make up artists and hair stylists to help people feel their best. Here with the Twin Cities Metro Help Squad, we’ve also started giving out a framed print to clients. Many of the people we work with haven’t had their portrait taken in years. I hear from families sometimes they’ve never had a picture of them taken together.
This year I used my experience in print production to help run the printing station. The printers only broke a few times but I got them back up and running quickly! After we got things running smoothly, I decided to name our printers so they would feel like part of the team.
I still managed to take a couple shots during all the bustle of the day. I hope you enjoy it!
Wedding Photography at TCF Football Stadium
This was one of the most unique weddings I photographed this year. Sam and Desmond’s wedding took place at the University of Minnesota’s TCF Stadium in Minneapolis. This was such a wonderful experience and the first time I’ve had a photographer from the Star Tribune attend to document a wedding with me!
I had a great time taking the bridal party around to different locations in the stadium. There were so many amazing paces to work with. This was one of those weddings where everyone was having a wonderful time and I knew every frame was going to be fantastic.
This wedding includes: red and teal accents, jumping the broom, Goldy the Gopher, bridal party football, custom Jones soda bottles, and a cigar bar! Amazing details and fantastic wedding.
