I absolutely loved photographing Christy and Renee’s wedding at the University Club in St. Paul, Minnesota. Christy and Renee have been together for a very long time and have worked hard to secure marriage equality. They were so thrilled to finally be able to have their relationship recognized we had to get some fun pictures with their paperwork.
Christy is a huge Star Wars fan so we had a blast playing with some light sabers. She even wrote her vows in a Star Wars notebook!
They were a really fun group and there was so much dancing! Christy and Renee even gave out custom can cozies as favors. They also had a very fun silver and gold theme. It was so very appropriate.
Thank you so much for having me be a part of your day. It was an honor and a privilege.
What absolutely beautiful same sex wedding photography! The University Club looks like a great venue, and the star wars touches are perfect! Beautiful LGTB wedding photography in St Paul!
Beautiful wedding photography!! That wedding sign was awesome, lol. Great way to tie in the Star Wars theme with their day! Love how much fun everyone is having. Talented work, especially the shots of their wedding rings!
what a beautiful university club wedding and a wonderful tribute and affirmation for marriage equality
Beautiful wedding photography!
It is obvious from you amazing photography that this lesbian couple thoroughly enjoyed their wedding at The University Club. The images are stunning, everyone looks so happy, and just love all the traditional elements of this same sex wedding. Thanks to the Supreme Court, I’m sure there will be many more beautiful LGBT weddings in your photography future!
What beautiful photos of this lovely LGBT wedding at the University Club! I can clearly see the love and excitement between the two of them. Gorgeous work. 🙂
As a wedding photographer who finally shot his first same-sex marriage earlier this summer, let me just say you did a tremendous job with this couple and really brought their spirit out in all of their photos.
The biggest challenge I had in shooting my first SSM was finding flattering poses that didn’t fall within the traditional male-female roles and your blog is a great inspiration for people like me to showcase the love between two women in a way that transcends just friendship and speaks to what it truly is to be married and in love.
My favorite shot here, without a doubt, was the celebration photo at what I imagine was the end of their ceremony. There’s so much love and emotion there and it tells a story.
Ten years from now, maybe 15 or 20, same sex marriage won’t be that big of a deal in the eyes of a lot of people and it’s wedding photography like the variety displayed here that show why.
Love is love and regardless of your sexual orientation, you deserve a special day with amazing photos and this couple got just that from you so great job!
